4th of July Venus: Tish Howard

As it's the Fourth of July today we thought we would like to celebrate the fact that America took many of our misfits, reprobates and religious maniacs from our shores over the years and made Great Britain a better place.

So here is Miss July (appropriately) 1966, Tish Howard, who was born on 4th July 1946, making her just nineteen when these pictures of her were taken.  Tish was from a wealthy family who had several houses; one of which was in upmarket Holmby Hills in Los Angeles; which would soon become the location of Playboy's Mansion West.

Here is Tish in an unusally revealing shot for 1966.  It would have not been permitted in the magazine at the time, of course.   Tish (not her real name) was attending Mount St Mary's Catholic College at the time of her Playboy appearance where she was called in by the mother superior and asked to explain the centrefold picture.  She replied "Everybody thinks I look like that girl.  It's uncanny."  The mother superior was not fooled!

Anyway, happy July 4th to all our American readers.

  1. My brother had Tish's issue. Probably first laid eyes on her when I was about 6 or 7. Guess what I was doing when I was 12.
