Dancing Venus: Ola Jordan calendar 2016

Agent Triple P had always had a soft spot for grumpy Polish Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan and we always enjoy her annual (heavily Photoshopped) calendars.

This year the puritan killjoys have been out in force, with camp judge Craig Revell Horwood saying that her calendars aren't appropriate for a family show and the BBC, reputedly, planning to ban their dancers from doing calendars for the same reason.  Given that the BBC pays the Strictly dancers very little it seems a bit mean to limit their earning power outside the show.  We bet if it was a BBC licensed product there wouldn't be any problems.

Horwood, can get away with making inappropriate comments and giving out sexual innuendo towards men on the show but Ola can't pose for a Calendar that has no Strictly branding at all?  Double standards here.

Also, any show which features dancing is by definition about sex.  That's what dancing is; a sex/foreplay substitute.  That is why puritans throughout history have banned it!  You can't say it is a family show and then have judges going on about wanting more "hip action" a bizarre euphemism for pelvic thrusts.

Anyway, Ola has, thankfully discarded everything in her latest calendar, gone in for her most revealing shots yet and very fine she looks too.  You can buy it here.

  1. Make the most of them - by all accounts she's quitting the show to "start a family".

  2. It does seem a tad prudish and dated; but how much are these dancers, who I find more interesting than the celebrities, paid? They seem to get little praise compared to their celebrity partners.

    1. They get just over £30,000 for the series which, with preliminary work, means from August to December.

    1. She's very petite. Under 5' 2"! She looks great in a catsuit!

I wonder if any of the Dancing with the Stars professionals have a calendar?
